Superior, Nebraska

Abundant wildlife exists along the Republican river, only one mile south of Superior. Canoeing and tubing on the river are popular activities. Hunting is excellent for deer, quail, pheasants, wild turkey, ducks, geese and rabbits. There are 2,200 acres of public hunting area available around the Lovewell Lake reservoir. The area offers outstanding opportunities to view and photograph deer, bald eagles, prairie dogs,and migratory birds, ducks and geese. If you are in search of something more challenging and a bit on the wild side, Cadams Hunt Club has over 5000 acres available for wild bird hunts.

Lincoln Park - RV Camping

Spacious Lincoln Park has a shaded camping area with cement pads and free hookups for 20 campers, as well as a beautiful botanical garden. A dump station and modern restrooms are also provided, as well as a horseshoe pitching area, sand volleyball, tennis courts, picnic shelters and a children'

The Carnegie Building

This Colonial-style building was erected in 1908 by the Ladies Library Association under the Carnegie endowment program. The building is a striking example of Colonial and Dutch Colonial architecture. The Ladies Library Association was founded March 29, 1882. A frame building was erected in 1887

Superior City Park

The City Park, on Highway 14 in the middle of town, was donated by the planner of East Superior, Austin Collette and William Loudon in 1880. The park contains a Chinese cannon which was brought from China by Lady Vestey. The park also has a memorial statue in tribute to our veterans.
